C. Joseph Richard, AIA, NCARB, Owner

Joseph is the principal and founder of Architects Plus. He established Architects Plus in 1999 after seven years of experience in premier award winning architecture firms located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Joseph serves as the principal in charge of all of Architects Plus projects and provides oversight management for all of our endeavors.

Design experience includes urban design, master planning, retail, business, health care, development architecture, manufacturing facilities with and without refrigeration, aviation facilities, hospitality, specialty facilities including sound studios, movie studios, and post production film facilities, and construction cost consulting. Areas of technical expertise include project management for large multi-discipline new and renovated design and construction projects.

SERGIO

As Director of Business Development, Sergio brings 40 + years of experience in all phases of architecture, planning, master planning, feasibility studies, urban design, quality control, engineering, construction, and construction/project management. Sergio has a BS in architecture and a MS in construction management.

For 19 years, Sergio was senior project inspector and project manager at the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport overseeing the consulting firms who provided contract documents and general contractors who have been awarded bids.

Jeremiah

Jeremiah is a Baton Rouge native and an alumnus of ITT Technical College, with a degree in Architectural and Civil Drafting.   He has experience in residential design and spent three years in Community Development.  He joined Architects Plus in August of 2022 and is an excellent resource to the team.  He has a love of food and his dachshund, Cocoa.

RACHEL

Rachel is from Shreveport, Louisiana.  As a fifth year Bachelor of Architecture student at LSU, she has found a grave interest in Urban Design and Planning and Fabrication.   Besides long hours in Atkinson Hall, she likes to spend her free time drawing, painting, rock climbing with friends, and taking care of her  dogs, Xenna and Fiona.    Architects Plus is happy to have her talents since May of 2022.

ELLEN

Ellen is the Office Manager, and the building permitting coordinator for the firm. She is an Louisiana State University graduate. She works part-time at Architects plus and is a student at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University, where she is pursuing a career as a Nurse Practitioner.

She has a lab/golden retriever mix named Beau, who loves to come with her to work, where he takes naps underneath the front desk. Beau has become the company mascot, and he even has his own Instagram page!

BEAU

This is Beau! Ellen is his human, and he is proud to be the official Mascot of Architects Plus. You can usually find Beau under the front desk, peacefully napping or just making sure everything is going smoothly! We’ve tried to teach him how to run the copy machine, but he’s not shown any interest. We’re glad he’s here, but we’re going to need to count on the rest of the team for actually getting the work done!
