PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Architects Plus was lead designer on renovations and additions to the ARFF building at Baton Rouge

Metropolitan Airport. The project included addition and renovation of existing fire fighting facility

at the Baton Rouge Airport.  Design considerations included fire fighters response time, addition of four

new truck bays for new equipment, landside / airside security, and the replacement of existing roof

and tying in existing roof with new roof. 

 

NORTH GENERAL AVIATION DEVELOPMENT & TAXIWAY "M" REHABILITATION PROJECT Baton Rouge, LA

AREA: 38,000 SQ FT

CONSTRUCTION COST: 5.3 Million

COMPLETION: January 2018

 PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This project consisted of the design of a new 38,000 square foot multi-use, sound isolated, 140 mph wind resistant

structure for federal use during National disasters.  The Building has an aircraft apron attached to it allowing

for easy supply delivery.  Also included in the scope of the project is a new roadway leading from Blount

Road, North of the Airport, South to the entrance of the new facility.
